Working on part 2 of Chapter 1

Finally, I ironed out all the bugs I found in my first test round. Undoubtedly there are many more, but wel'll leave that until round 2. Today I had an entire day to devote to modding, a rare treat for me. The last time I had this much to work with has to be years ago.

Made some good progress, too. The first round of testing gave me many ideas to build up to chapter 2, which works quite nicely. Worked on a couple of cutscenes today, that turned out to be nice and dramatic. I'm pretty happy with the result :-)

It's interesting how some characters start to live their own lives in my head. Sometimes they just develop all by themselves, without much effort on my part. Hopefully you'll know what I'm talking about if I ever get this baby done ;-)

That's all for now.

  1. Well I do know (in part) what you mean about characters, since shaping them it's undoubtably your forte!

But now I'm curious to know which kind of persons will be in the module...you didn't divulge much so far,but I guess it goes toward the building of suspense :P

Can you at least tell us if there will be any romance available in the making?I mean you did a great job with Grimgur and Isobel,so you can clearly manage a romance well....the question is,are you willing?

Many authors don't care for romances.....hopefully you are not one of them :P

Of course,it depends on the kind of characters you are thinking of,and the story itself...but well, that would be a nice treat for us players that love romantic twists :) (expecially because,I still have regrets for Aramir...I know,I know,i'm obsessed...sue me :P)

    Staying tuned :D

  2. Hi Deedlit,

There will be romance in the mod, but I haven't decided yet if there will be romanceable companions. I haven't fleshed out the companions yet, if there is going to be romance it will depend on the companion's personality and current stage in life. This to avoid cliché (wow, that was a hard fight/say, you're kind of hot/I'll say something nice to you/hey, let's make out).

So, if there will be romance it has to make sense (at least to me).

  3. Sorry,I took it as implicitly stated that I wasn't expecting cliches from you by default *laughs*

nothing against them when they're used in cunning ways though, but that depends on the occasion and...several other factors I guess, lol.

But aye,as previously said,I totally agree on the "has to make sense" factor, story and characters wise;so I guess i'll just have to wait on future news and keep my fingers crossed :)

Thanks for your answer anyways, and keep up the good work!
